With a short course of only eight miles between loch and sea, the River Ness is the conduit for salmon destined for Loch Ness, Loch Oich, the River Garry and several other smaller rivers.

In addition to the excellent fishing, we are delighted to have secured the services of resident ghillie Gordon Armstrong, who currently holds the World Spey Casting record of 73 yards. He is on hand to help you make the very most of the opportunities available – and offer expert coaching to those anglers keen to improve their techniques.

Your exclusive fishing rights allow you to fish from one of five boats, comfortably wade the shingly river bed, or cast from the bank. The length accommodates five rods throghout the entire fishing season. As well as the resident ghillie, a second ghillie provides valuable support during high season.

There are four pools. The Laggan is especially good at high water and The Pot similarly profitable in low water, while The Blackstream and The Lady pools fish well in all conditions. The Laggan alone can only be fished by boat.

The river also offers excellent wild brown trout up to 16lbs. Between January and May, you can arrange guest fishing – three weeks in advance – on the Rivers Garry, Moriston and Oich. Fly casting lessons can be arranged with the resident ghillie.
